Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. The mother of her child, Margarita Vergara davila de Vergara, has a job as a domestic. The father of her, Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo is a cattle farmer in the industry of meat. She has five siblings. The school she attended was a bilingual private school, which taught Spanish as well as English. When she completed her dental school, Sofia began to work in the modeling and television business. Sofia was discovered by a cameraman in the beach. From there, she started working in modeling and television. The runway model was already in her prime aged 23. When she was in the United States, her travel show Fuera de serie, which was hosted by her from 1995 to 1998 brought her to the public. Her first film performance was on the crime-comedy Big Trouble (2002). Her breakthrough role was as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the American TV show Modern Family (2009). Her Emmy nominations ranged from 2010-2013 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress for a Comedy Series. Sofia resides in Los Angeles, California with her son Manolo.
